Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammed, says he will not rest until bandits are flush out of all parts of the state.

The Governor said this while delivering his Eid-El-Kabir statewide broadcast in Gusau, the state capital.

He asked the people to support the government through prayers, to win the war against insecurity.

He said his administration inherited a terrible state of insecurity two years ago when he took over as the governor of the state.

The Governor said he employed one of the best options, the peace dialogue with the bandits, which has brought relative peace to the state.

Governor Mohammed noted that there are still pockets of recalcitrant bandits existing in the state.

He appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari for more troops and for the deployment of more security personnel, who are currently putting their lives on the line, to ensure that peace returns to Zamfara State.

Governor Mohammed congratulated the Muslim faithful for marking the great festival of Eid-el Kabir, which represented total submission to Allah’s commandments. It also represents humanity and togetherness.

The Governor called on Muslims to take advantage of the Islamic festival to strengthen the communal spirit and interpersonal relations, for the good of society.
