Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has reiterated his commitment towards the continuous projection of the ‘Made in Aba’ products, to the global market.
Governor Ikpeazu gave the assurance while speaking at the grand finale of the 2020 edition of Aba Fashion week, in Aba, the commercial nerve centre of Abia State, southeast Nigeria.
The Governor used the opportunity to call on Nigerians to look inwards, noting that the greatest countries of the world started by promoting locally made products.
Governor Ikpeazu said he is impressed with the creativity and ingenuity displayed at the show by the Aba shoe and garment producers.
To boost manufacturing and trade in the region, the Abia State Government has already established an automated shoe factory in Aba, with a current production capacity of 5000 pairs of shoes per day, and an opportunity for expansion of the facility.
