As the Nigerian nation grapples with challenges of insecurity and agitations for self determinations by some sections of the country, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, has reaffirmed his belief in one and united Nigeria.
Governor Umahi shared his views at the opening events of the state’s Elders and Stakeholders Council meeting held in Abakaliki, the state’s capital on Wednesday.
Umahi noted that the continued existence of Nigeria as a single and sovereign nation is more beneficial and sustainable than the concept of disintegration being advocated in some quarters.
The Governor, however, admitted that there is an urgent need for the country to be repositioned towards addressing those issues threatening its national unity.
