Delta state government has set up a sexual assault referral centre (SARC) against the girl child violation at the Asaba specialist hospital.
Commissioner for budget and economic planning Hon Barry Gbe said governor Ifeanyi Okowa is concerned about the protection of the girl child, and those who can’t protected themselves.
On her part, the Commissioner Women Affairs, Flora Alatan, represented by Permanent Secretary Oghenekevwe Agas noted that the centre is one-stop shop for any girl child who has been violated.
