An accident involving a fully laden tanker conveying petrol with a smaller vehicle has totally blocked the Abinsi/Gboko road in Benue State, Northcentral Nigeria.
According to sources, security personnel have since taken over the area but have to contend with locals who intend to get a scoop.
Men of the fire service have equally arrived at the scene and started carrying out preventive measures to avert an explosion.
Intending commuters to Gboko from Makurdi are, therefore, advised to take alternative routes.
