The New International Terminal at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja is a world-class aviation transport facility designed to handle 15 million passengers in a year with the best comfort.

The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Main Terminal and Port-Harcourt are two of the four airport terminals funded from the China EXIM bank facility to the Nigerian government. The New Terminal building is on a 56,000 square meters with a 60m long skywalk that connects to the Airport Metro Station.

Departing passengers arriving the Airport via the Abuja Metro enter through skywalk to the departures level on the second floor. Upon entering the departures concourse, passengers see views across the New Terminal and the surrounding area and are in a space that is unobstructed to the rising roof above.

After check-in and security screening, the airside departure lounge also provides beautiful views across the airport. The area covered by the roof is the size of five football pitches, 66 check-in counters, 5 baggage collection carousals, 28 immigration desk at Arrival and 16 immigration desk at Departure.

The New Terminal also has 8 security screening points, 8 passenger boarding bridges plus remote boarding and arrival, 2 Food courts, 4 premium lounges, a 22 room hotel with spa, over 3000 square metres of Duty Free space and more than 5000 square metres of utility space.
