In a final attempt to save face after multiple narratives on a singular incident, the Federal Government of Nigeria has written to the Cable News Network headquarters criticizing the once viral Lekki Toll Gate investigative report.
The report titled ‘How a bloody night of bullets quashed a young protest Movement’. The statement argued that the report was one sided and violated the basic tenets of journalism and that it was lopsided.

“We write to put on record that the report did not just fall short of journalistic standards, it reinforces the disinformation that is going around on the issue, it is blatantly irresponsible and it is a poor piece of journalistic work by a reputable international news organization.
