#ENDSARS: UK Parliament decides to deny Nigerian Govt. Officials access to Benefits

The UK Parliament has yesterday discussed ways to impose sanctions on Nigerian Government officials who come to enjoy the liberties they deny their citizens in their home country.

For close to 30 minutes, the Members of Parliament shunned the unfortunate event at the infamous Lekki Toll gate in Lagos, Nigeria on the 20th of October, 2020.

According to a representative of the Minister for Africa, James Duddridge, there are plans in place to see how a corruption sanction could apply, and the UK will continue to push the Nigerian Government to exercise the rule of law and complete the investigations of the activities of the now disbanded Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad – FSARS.

Examples of corrupt officials in times past was Yakubu Gowon who reportedly moved half of the Central Bank and relocated to London. Read the representative’s statement in part below
