The Federal Government said there is no plan to ban any social media platform, it promised not stifle free speech in any manner whatsoever, even as it vowed not allow any platform to plunge the nation into crisis.

Recall that, The Nigerian government suspended Twitter on June 4 after it removed a post from President Muhammadu Buhari that threatened to punish regional secessionists. Telecoms companies subsequently blocked access to users in Nigeria.
