Ugo Humbert on Sunday staged a sensational display, as he defeated Australian 8th seed, Alex De Minaur, in straight sets 6-1 7-6 to lift his second ATP title at the European Open.

The 22-year-old who won his first ATP title in Auckland in January, once again warmed his way to victory, with an impressive win over Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta and Dan Evans in the semi-finals.

Humbert becomes the third Frenchman to win the title since its inauguration in 2016, following Richard Gasquet and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
