Premier League into training

The English Premier League are a step closer to activating project restart as the teams today agreed that group training sessions can commence this week. There will be continuous meetings to sort out other pending agreements before the league kicks off eventually.

June 3rd is the proposed date to mark the restart of the league. However, that is just two weeks away which might not be enough time for players to get up to speed with fitness.

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce already stated over the weekend that his players will not be fit to compete by the third of June.

Also, the issue of relegation not occurring is still very much up for debate as the teams in the relegation battle have expressed their displeasure at not having their fans available for their games to propel them in their quest for survival.

In recent days, some Premier League stars have expressed their fears and concerns over getting back to playing football due to the state of the coronavirus in the UK.

Recent reports have suggested that some players might not be paid if they refuse to play while clubs might sanction their players as the case may be.

Despite the complications involved in restarting the English Premier League, all plans to resume the league are fully in motion as fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the most entertaining football league in the world.
