Some EndSARS protesters who dared to confront the security operatives at the famous Lekki Tollgate in Lagos have been arrested.
Reports have it that they were seen bundled into a Black Maria security van on Saturday morning.
As early as 6:00 am, some international media and local representatives have taken positions on the ground to keep their audience updated at Lekki.
Heavy security presence had last night also taken strategic positions at the Lekki Tollgate to forestall any breakdown of law and order should the EndSARS protesters regroup this Saturday.
The arrests were effected by men of the Nigerian Police who expressed determination to ensure that nobody breaks the law.
Some of the arrested persons claimed they were just passing by when security operatives picked them up while others maintained that no arrest or intimidation will stop them from going ahead with the protests whenever they regain freedom.
Nigerian comedian and activist, Mr. Macaroni was also taken into custody after being arrested along with other protesters at the Lekki Tollgate.
He filmed his arrest on Instagram live while expressing dismay over the treatment meted on peaceful protesters.
