#Endsars: Imo Panel on Police Brutality Submits Report to Uzodinma

The Judicial Commission of Inquiry on Police Brutality and Related Matters set up by the Imo State government has submitted its report to Governor Hope Uzodinma.

The Commission was set up last year following the nationwide #EndSARS protests.

The Panel was inaugurated following the directive of the Federal Executive Council.

Submitting the report to Governor Uzodinma at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Owerri, Chairman of the Commission, Justice Florence Duruoha-Igwe, spoke on the Commission’s findings.

The Chairman also urged the government to implement the recommendations to restore public confidence in government.

Receiving the report, the Governor promised to study the findings to enable government know not just the cause, but also the level of damages to lives and property.

Uzodinma, however, assured the Chairman and members that the government would implement the recommendations by the Commission of Inquiry.
