Nigeria’s female basketball team, D’Tigress lost their first classification game to France 84-62 will play the loser between China and Canada in the 7-8 classification game tomorrow.
France, on the other hand, will face the winner in the 5-6 classification.
Adaora Elonu led the scoring sheets for Nigeria with 15 pts and 5 rebounds, followed closely by Atonye Nyingifa with 12 pts, Ogoke with 11 and Amukamara contributing 10 pts.
This defeat comes on the heels of the huge loss they suffered in the hands of the USA at the quarterfinal stage of the FIBA Female World Cup.
