Governor Ayade talks tough as new APC leader in Cross River State

Cross River State Governor and Leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, Professor Ben Ayade, has called on the opposition parties in the state to play by the rules or taste the power of the new APC leader who connects with the federal might.

Ayade stated this in Government House, Calabar, when he received the state exco and stakeholders of the APC led by its Caretaker Chairman, Mathew Mbu Junior.

He assured all the members of his new party of even distribution of positions, saying there is no new or old member of the party but one big APC family.

The Governor who announced immediate appointments of 500 old APC members into his government warned anyone who wants to foment trouble because of his new party position to be lawful of face the law.

Earlier in his remarks, the APC Caretaker Chairman in Cross River State, Senator Mathew Mbu Jnr, urged all the members of the party to give maximum respect and support to their new leader in Cross River State.

Recall that Governor Ayade had on Thursday, defected to the APC from his former party, the Peoples Democratic Party after a two-hour meeting with some APC Governors.
