Disability Law: Groups Call For Implemention Of Rights Of Persons With Disabilities

A coalition of civil society organizations under the aegis of the We-YOU project, has called on government at all levels to implement rights of persons with disabilities, PWDs to ensure an inclusive government.

They made this call at a public dialogue organized to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of PWDs in public places.

Convener of the stakeholders’ dialogue, Hannatu Ahuwan called for inclusiveness and equity for persons with disabilities.

The National President of Association of Persons with Disability lamented that there is no adequate provisions for them in public places.

Some of the Participants expressed dissatisfaction with government the lack of implementation of the law.
