Cross River APC Congress: No Security Scare Across 18 LGAs – Chairman

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Local Government Congress election committee in Cross River State says the internal security enjoyed by the team during the just concluded election across the eighteen local government areas was as a result of good leadership provided by Governor Ben Ayade

Chairman of the Congress Committee, Hassan Kafayus, stated this in Calabar shortly after declaring the result of the election which came as a result of the Consensus arrangement.

Kafayus said the Cross River model should be emulated by other states in Nigeria in a bid for the party to win the 2023 general elections.

He said the election was conducted under a peaceful atmosphere due to the inclusive leadership provided by Governor Ayade due to his numerous appointments of both old and new members of the party into his government.

On his part, the Senior Special Adviser to Governor Ayade on Political Affairs, Peter Ojie, said no single uniform security men attended the congress due to the inclusiveness process provided by the leaders of APC in Cross River through the stakeholders’ caucus arrangement.

According to the Congress Chairman, all the Consensus candidates were return elected without dissenting voices despite few challenges.
