Justice Hassan Gegele of the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin the State capital on Friday ordered the sack of all the 16 Transition Implementation Committee, TIC, Chairmen across the 16 local government areas of the state.

The judge, while delivering his ruling, said due process must be followed when dealing with issues that border on the constitution of the land.

Justice Gegele in his ruling declared the appointment of the 16 TIC chairmen by the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, as illegal, ordering him to conduct fresh elections into all the 16 local government councils.

Counsel for the Elite Network for Sustainable Development, ENETSUD, Lukman Raji, and the State Vice- Chairman of ENETSUD in the State, Lanre Osho, described the development as a victory for democracy and the people of the state.

The ENETSUD, months ago, dragged the state government to court over what they termed illegal appointments of persons into the TIC to administer the affairs of the local governments, a committee the group said is unknown to the law.
