Nigerian Afrobeats Music Artist, Tiwa Savage has disclosed that the sex tape video currently in circulation is a result of her not paying blackmail money for an intimate video of her with her lover.
According to the Koroba singer, the video was shared on Snapchat in error by her lover who deleted it, but not before a stalker downloaded it and decided to blackmail her with it.
Tiwa Savage claims she cried when she saw the video and was initially worried about the expose would affect her career, her life, and that of her 6-year-old son but resolved to not be cowered into paying for doing something that is natural.
“I am not going to call it a sex tape but it’s a tape between me and the person I am dating right now,”
“I am going to talk to him and for me it is even later on when he’s about 15 and someone is trying to be rude to him… I just have to brace him up,”
“I am that crazy I could put it out myself – you are not making any money off me,”

While revenge porn and sexual blackmail are covered as crimes in Nigeria’s 2015 cybercrime Act, it is yet to be revealed if Tiwa’s accuser has been traced so he can bear responsibility for his actions.
