Coronavirus: Niger State Govt. Commences Sensitisation Exercise

Niger State Government has commenced sensitisation exercise on Coronavirus across the 274 wards in the 25 local government areas.

It is part of efforts to encourage the people against the outbreak and spread of Coronavirus in the state. 

The General Manager, Niger State Environmental Protection Agency, NISEPA, Habib Abdul-Qadir said the exercise is part of the measures being put in place to prevent the spread of the pandemic.

The exercise which was addressed in the indeginous languages, encouraged the people to imbibe healthy and sanitary habits in their daily affairs, especially regular washing of hands with soap and water. 

Abdul-Qadir also advised them to visit nearby hospitals, whenever they are sick with fever, sneezing, coughing and other related symptoms for prompt medical attention.

The sensitisation exercise is being carried out in communities in Chanchaga and Bosso Local Government Areas of the state.
