Combating Insurgency: Katsina govt. hails NAF, other security agencies

Katsina State Government has commended the efforts of the Nigerian Air Force and other security agencies towards combating insurgency, banditry, and kidnapping in the state and the North West in general.

Governor Aminu Masari gave the applaud while speaking as the special guest of honour at this year’s Chief of the Air Staff Easter launch, held at the Air Force Base, Katsina.

Governor Masari who was represented at the occasion by his Security Adviser, Ibrahim Katsina, assured of his government’s support to all the security agencies in the state and called for more synergy between the military and the host communities.

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao, said it is unfortunate that this year’s Easter launch is being observed, few weeks after the loss of some airmen, and it is, therefore, an opportunity to remember them for their sacrifices to the nation.

The Chief of the Air Staff, represented by the Air Officer Commanding Special Air operations Command, Air Vice Marshal Charles Ohwo, appreciated the troops of Air Component, Operation Hadarin Daji for their resilience in addressing banditry in the North West.

The Commander, 213 Forward Operating Base, Katsina, who doubles as the Air Component Commander, Group Captain Henry Eze, expressed profound gratitude to the Chief of the Air Staff, for his unflinching support, especially in meeting the logistics and welfare needs of the Air Component.

Dignitaries at the occasion include the representatives of the Emir of Katsina and other sister security agencies in the state.
