Buhari, 19 other suspected Rapists Apprehended by Bauchi Police

The police in Bauchi State say it is set to charge to court, one Muhammad Buhari for the rape of a 14-year-old girl in cohort with the victim’s brother, Dahiru Aliyu.

The incident is alleged to have occurred on August 6.

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer in Bauchi, Ahmad Wakili, both men are among 20 others in custody for rape-related offences.

The statement noted that a report was also received at Misau police station that one Usman Adamu allegedly conspired with Adamu Muhammad, Nura Musa, and Khalid Abdullahi and abducted a 14-year-old girl. He kept her in a house located in the same Nasarawa area of the town for almost a month and repeatedly raped the survivor.

Also on the last of July, a 46- year-old Umar Mohammed alias Wulas in Azare town, in the northern part of the state lured his 15- year-old daughter with 50 Naira, removed her clothes and had carnal knowledge of her in her mother’s room.

Other suspects such as one Ibrahim Mohammed took an 11-year-boy to his house and sodomized him.

The statement also hinted that in the early hours of September 1, one Musa Mohammed of Sabon Garin Galan Sade village of Darazo Local Government Area raped a seven-year-old girl in an adjourning farm.

One Muhammad (surname not indicated) of Tsohon Tasha in Dass, attempted to rape a 6-year old girl in an uncompleted building at Unguwan Sarki Gangare.

Three other men, Nazif Mohammed, Ukasha Abubakar, and Ibrahim Umar of Sabon Kaura village are also in custody and will be charged to court for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl.
