Boko haram terrorists attack 3 villages in Borno

Boko Haram terrorists were suspected to have attacked three villages in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State.

About 90 houses, places of worship, stores, and other properties were set ablaze. 

According to Alhaji Mohammad Maina Bukar, the District Head of the area, not only were properties ruined, and food items taken away by the insurgents, source of livelihoods were also lost to the Monday evening attack.

Residents commenting on the unfortunate incident attributed the attack on the villages on lack of telecommunications network in the community. 

As gathered from the report to the deputy governor, local hunters retaliated during that attack and killed 3 members of the terrorist group.

However, no one was killed during the attack, one resident was severely injured.

The State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Umar Usman Kadafur, implored residents to continue to pray for peace and see the incident as an act of Allah.

Going further, he assured vigilantes would be properly equipped to work with security agencies in the community to ensure peace and safety.
