Bill Gates and Melinda have suddenly announced via Twitter to end their 27-year-old union. An announcement that left the world stunned.
Bill, the richest man in the world for several years and the now 4th richest man in the world wrote that the two are unable to grow together as a couple but will work still at the foundation.
The two met at Microsoft, a company he co-founded in the 1970s when she came in to work as a product manager in 1987and eventually got married in Hawaii in 1994. They have 3 grown kids between them and a foundation that is focused on addressing global healthcare issues.
Many are curious about the cost of the dissolution of the union considering Bill still owns 1.4% of Microsoft, tantamount to $26 billion, also the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is worth more than $51 billion in assets, although the duo plan to continue with the foundation.
Their divorce will be the second power-couple dissolution to happen in recent times, second only to Bezos who got divorced in 2019.
