Benue congress: Austin Agada emerges APC state chairman

Austin Agada has emerged as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State.

He was declared the winner by the Chairman Benue State Congress Committee and Speaker Gombe State House of Assembly, Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Luggarewo, at Aper Aku stadium Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

Agada, a native of Owukpa in Ogbadibo Local Government Area, polled 1,000 votes to clinch the position ahead of his rival, Omale Omale, from Apa, who garnered 27 votes.

Reacting to his victory, Agada urged those who contested for the seat to join hands with him to move the party forward.

He thanked the leadership of the party for the trust and confidence reposed in him.

Other key officials elected include Deputy Chairman; Stephen Tsav, Paul Biam; Secretary, Organizing Secretary; James Ornguga, as well as Publicity Secretary; Dan-Morgan Ihomun.
