Barcelona has confirmed that Asisat Oshoala’s right foot surgery went well and the Nigerian female footballer is primed to return soon.
The club revealed that the surgery was done to correct an anomaly on her right foot within the club’s medical facility. Oshoala has scored 15 goals and made 20 league appearances for the club within the season.
Asisat Oshoala is currently one of the most talented female footballers in world football. She came into the limelight after brilliant solo performances at the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and the 2014 African Women’s Championship as she finished top scorer, second top scorer and best player in both tournaments.
Oshoala’s brilliant performances in 2014 earned her a move to English giants Liverpool in 2015. Since then, she has gradually improved as an individual and continues to add value to her club sides and most importantly the Super Falcons. She is an integral member of any team she is a part of.
