The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has said that anyone who plans to remain in the All Progressives Congress, APC, is a disgrace to the country given the ruling party’s abysmal level of performance.
Ortom stated this while receiving a host of defectors from the APC in Guma Local Council of the state.
Realignment of political heavyweights ahead of the 2023 general election has racked in quite a harvest in Gbajimba, the administrative capital of the Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
The bumper harvest is at the instance of the APC standard-bearer for the Makurdi Guma Federal constituency in the last general election.
Receiving the cross-carpets in their numbers, the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, Governor Ortom, officially admitted them into the party.
A political move, the chief executive is confident will give them the advantage in the next general election.
