The National Organizing Secretary of Labour Party, Clement Ojukwu, who doubles as the Chairman, Obiora Agbasimalo Campaign Organization in the November 6, Anambra State governorship election has debunked rumour making the rounds that the Party has adopted the PDP candidate for the polls.

At a press briefing in Awka, the Anambra State capital, Ojukwu said there is no iota of fact behind the print and social media publications with the caption, “About Party Moves To Adopt PDP’s Candidate, Ozigbo”, describing it as mischievous.

The Labour Party chieftain who frowned at the speculative media reports declared the contents as false, misleading, baseless, and a plot by meddlesome interlopers to discredit, disparage, and demarket the Labour Party, its candidate, Obiora Agbasimalo.

He noted that the Labour Party and its candidate, Obiora Agbasimalo, just as the PDP and her candidate, Valentine Ozigbo, are vying for the same seat in the same election.

Ojukwu vouched for the integrity of the party’s governorship candidate insisting that the two candidates of Labour Party and PDP have never met one on one or through any authentic proxies for any reason whatsoever, as both are currently engaged in last minutes campaign activities to win the election for themselves and their parties.

Ojukwu also made it clear that the press briefing is for official record purposes and to put to rest the activities of meddlesome interlopers and detractors trying to attract undeserving public attention.
