After 6 months in Jail, Bobi Wine's Supporters finally released

After six perilous months in prison, a military court has finally released 18 supporters of Bobi Wine, that were arrested at an election rally in December last year.

They were part of a group of 49 arrested at the Lake Victoria island district of Kalanga and charged with possession of ammunition.

It is believed that as many as 1000 persons may still be held in custody, who have been rumoured to be in support of Robert Kyagunlanyi, famously known as Bobi Wine, as per a statement from the Internal Affairs Minister, General Jeje Odongo.

Bobi Wine remains one of Yoweri Museveni’s most vocal opposition and has been through numerous political perditions in his bid to give Ugandans ‘liberation’ in his own words.
