The Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly and the gubernatorial candidate of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa Sen. Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed (Binani) has distributed fertilizer to farmers in the 7 local government areas of the central zone and foodstuffs across the 21 local government areas of the state.
Speaking during the ceremony held in Yola, Senator Binani said the distribution of fertilizer to farmers is part of her contributions towards boosting farming activities, ensuring bumper harvest and improving food security in the state.
Flagging off the distribution, the APC chairman in the state, Ibrahim Bilal appealed to politicians in Adamawa to emulate the gesture which he said has directly impacted on the lives of the less privileged.
Some of the beneficiaries described the intervention as timely and promised to use the items judiciously.
