Abductors of Niger State traditional ruler demand ₦100m ransom

Abductors of the Dodo of Wawa District in the Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State are demanding 100 million Naira ransom.

The abductors were said to have made the demand, hours after taking away the Dodo of Wawa, Dr. Mahmud Ahmad on Saturday night.

The abductors did not give any deadline for the payment of the ransom.

Wawa District is about 12 kilometres away from an Army Barracks in New Bussa, the Headquarters of Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.

The Secretary to Niger State Government, Ahmad Matane, has also confirmed the abduction of the Dodo of Wawa.

Matane explained that already, the state government has mobilized combined security agencies and members of vigilante groups, who have been drafted to rescue the Dodo of Wawa.
