62nd Independence Anniversary: F.G. Declares Monday, Oct 3, Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared Monday, October 3, as a public holiday to mark Nigeria’s 62nd Independence anniversary.

Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, who made the declaration, on behalf of the Federal Government, congratulated Nigerians on this year’s celebration and assured them of the government’s commitment to tackling challenges facing the nation.

In a communique signed by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Shuaib Belgore, Aregbesola called on Nigerians to use the occasion to reflect on the challenges facing the nation and the role individuals can play in addressing them.
