Report reaching Plus Tv Africa has it that four female students of the Plateau State University, Bokkos, who were earlier kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Monday night have been rescued.
The Chief Security Officer of the University, Samuel Kurtong, who confirmed the rescue of the four abducted female students, said they were rescued on Tuesday morning after the school management acted swiftly with the help of security personnel.

He added that the four rescued female students are currently in a hospital where they are being examined.
Meanwhile, a student with the institution who pleaded anonymity told reporters that two of the female students were raped before they were rescued from their Fulani abductors as alleged by the student.
As of the time of filing this report, students of the Plateau State University have gathered to protest over the incident which appeared to be the third invasion of the school in two years.
