Three weeks after the abduction of 39 students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka in Kaduna, the students are yet to regain freedom from their abductors.
Some parents of the kidnapped students said they are disappointed with the way the government is handling the issue to secure the release of their children.
On the 11th of March, 39 students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka were abducted by gunmen.
While the sad news of the incident left many shattered, the bandits released a video to show the students in their custody.
Even the protests by the National Association of Nigeria Students and the parents of the students have all fallen on deaf ears.

The Kaduna State government through the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, in his daily updates on the security situation in the state, said the government is working to secure the release of the students.
But some of the parents think otherwise.
For now, there is no concrete information on the government’s approach to securing the release of the students, since it has ruled out negotiation with the bandits as an option.
Nonetheless, the parents are still calling on the government to do all it takes to secure the release of their children.
