Nigeria’s electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has kickstarted preparations for the 2023 general elections.
The Chairman of INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, while inaugurating INEC’s strategic plan committee in Abuja, said the committee will help the commission review its general election plans between 2022 and 2023.
Yakubu said that the committee will help form a work plan for the upcoming general elections, identify expected deliverables before the polls, and help track off-season elections between 2021 and 2023.
