Mark Zuckerberg, Chief Executive Officer of Facebook received several backlashes for not criticizing, the United States President’s remarks.

Donald Trump in a tweet had tagged agitated protesters ‘thugs’ and also threatened open fire on ‘looting’ protesters.

This tweet was also posted on Trump’s Facebook page.Twitter had reacted to the post by flagging a ‘public interest notice’ on the tweet which goes against its rules of praising violence.

Facebook on the other hand didn’t react to the post which resulted in several backlashes on the CEO and the company.

As gathered, Zuckerberg had a virtual conference meeting with workers at the company.

In the meeting, he talked about accusations that Facebook allowed election misinformation and also allowed glorifying and promoting of violence from the U.S President.

Zuckerberg made known that Trump’s posts have been thoroughly reviewed and evaluated.

Not bringing down the post according to him is a difficult stand but also correct.

He made known that the principle and policy of the company cannot be mixed with his own personal opinion.

Following this, several employees have resigned from the American social media and technology company.

As gathered, one of the workers who resigned stated that Facebook will end up on the wrong side of history.
