Zamfara, Adamawa discharge COVID-19 patients

Zamfara State Task Force on COVID-19 has again discharged 13 patients of Coronavirus at the Danbam and Yerima Bakura Specialist Hospital after they were tested negative to the disease.

The Commissioner for Health, Yahaya Kanoma, who confirmed this to reporters, said they were discharged after receiving their test results from the Nigerian Centre For Disease Control, NCDC, which indicated negative.

This brings the total number of discharged persons in Zamfara State to 31.

The Health Commissioner also said that the COVID-19 Task Force had sent some samples to Sokoto and they are likely to receive the test results coming Monday.

Now the number of active cases in the state is 47.

Meanwhile, the Adamawa State Government has discharged eight more COVID-19 patients from its treatment centre.

The State Commissioner for Health,  Abdullahi Isa, disclosed this to reporters on Friday.

Isa said eight patients have been discharged from the treatment centre after testing negative twice for Coronavirus.

Recall that the state had discharged five patients few days back, this makes a total of 13 recovered COVID-19 patients

With this development, only eight patients are left at the isolation centre.
