Election Observation group YIAGA Africa has confirmed that the results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, on the Edo state governorship polls matches results collated from the field.
YIAGA Africa while releasing its preliminary post-election report on the results released by INEC, says that its watching the vote initiative which deployed about five hundred observers across two hundred and fifty polling units in the state, can authoritatively confirm that INEC’s results is consistent with those received from its observers on the field.
This comes on the wake of the APC Candidate, Ize-Iyamu suggesting that the elections were not free and fair despite saying otherwise on the election day itself.
