The World Boxing Council’s board of governors unanimously agreed to the sanctioning of a ‘direct rematch’ between WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.
The duo shared a controversial and thrilling draw at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last weekend, with both fighters pushing for a rematch, though Fury wants it in the UK.
The rematch is likely to be staged at Las Vegas in May.
