The Golden globe finally came to a wrap. It was hosted by Ricky Gervais which made it the fifth time he would be hosting the show.

The award show went live on NBC and Netflix topped with the highest amount of nomination.

Below is a compiled list of those who took home the awards.

  • Best drama film- “1917”
  • The best actress in a motion picture- Renée Zellweger
  • Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture- Joaquin Phoenix
  • The best motion picture, musical or comedy award- “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’’
  • Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy (Rocketman)- Taron Egerton
  • Best actress in a motion picture, musical or comedy for “The Farewell.”- Awkwafina
  • Best supporting actor in a motion picture for “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”- Brad Pitt
  • Best Actress, limited series or TV movie for “Fosse/Verdon- Michelle Williams
  • Best limited series or TV movie- “Chernobyl.”
  • Best Director – Motion Picture- Sam Mendes
  • Award for “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.”- Tom Hank
  • Best actress in a TV drama series- Olivia Colma
  • Supporting Actress award for her role in “The Act,”- Patricia Arquette
  • Best original song in a motion picture for “I’m Gonna Love Me Again” from “Rocketman.”- Elton John and Bernie Taupin
  • Best TV Series – Musical or Comedy for “Fleabag,”- Phoebe Waller-Bridge
  • Best Supporting Actress in Motion Picture- Laura Dern
  • Best animated film- “Missing Link”
  • Screenplay- Motion Picture for “Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood”
  • Best actor in a drama TV series award- Brian Cox
  • Best Foreign Language Film Award- Parasite.
  • Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy – Fleabag- Phoebe Waller-Bridge
  • Best Television Series – Drama- “Succession
  • Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television – Chernobyl. – Stellan Skarsgård
  • Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television – The Loudest Voice- Russell Crowe

However, not a single woman made the nomination list for the best director category. Golden Globe Awards really need to do better at this.
