Russian Leader, Vladimir Putin has labelled the protests seeking the release of Alexei Navalny as illegal and dangerous.

The Kremlin leader who maintained that it is indeed right for people to express themselves within the confines of the law resolved that when it exceeds that,  it not only becomes dangerous but counterproductive. A scenario he likened the outburst for the release of Alexei Navalny.

A record 3,000 people were arrested from the widespread protest for Putin’s major opposition.

Russians are not the only ones who have called for the release of Alexei, who is famed for revealing indicting information about Russia’s ruling class, the U.S and parts of Europe have also canvassed for his release but all fell on deaf ears.

Putin while responding to students expressed that no one should use illegal actions to further their political interests. A massive protest broke out in the USSR after opposition leader, Alexei Navalny was arrested on arrival from the airport after recovering in Germany for an attempt on his life.

Navalny was poisoned with Novichok, a nerve agent, noted to be highly poisonous. Fortunately for Navalny, he was able to get help promptly.
