Personnel of the Nigerian army have opened fire on members of the Islamic movement of Nigeria at the Federal Capital, Abuja.
The clash which occurred at the Kugbo area of the FCT has left many of the Sect members seriously wounded with several others dead.
The protesters had tried to force their way through a military checkpoint after doing the same to a police barricade.
