The United Nations have called on Nigerians to give more support to women and girls.
This was as the United Nations Assistant Secretary-General and UN Women Deputy Executive Director Åsa Regnér, spoke to newsmen in Abuja on efforts by the UN’s aimed at highlighting its commitment to advancing the rights of women and girls in the country.
Miss Åsa Regnér while describing Nigerian women and girls as the nation’s untapped resource, called for more investment in the potentials of women and girls.
She says this will greatly help Nigeria achieve its development aspirations.
