trump can't block critics on twitter anymore

Everyone can attest that of all the U.S Presidents, President Trump’s use of Twitter has been quite profound. He has been quick to use the platform quite effectively share his stance, opinions, and decisions at lightning speed, many of which have been almost bizarre.

Unfortunately for the very controversial President, unlike regular Twitter folks who can block and unblock people as they choose, Trump will have no such privilege as to do so will mean to violate the First Amendment.

A three-judge panel yesterday ruled that since the President’s tweet are official statements and since he also uses the platform to make major policy and personnel announcements, the First Amendment restricts him from blocking off critics as this prevents them access to valuable information.

The case began sometime in May last year, Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald a lower court Judge ruled that the president was violating the constitutional rights of Americans by blocking them and recently a case brought by the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia sued on behalf of seven distinct individuals also blocked off by the President.

This implies that President Trump will either have to unblock his critics and face all the backlash (a very tough decision indeed) or maybe forego his beloved and preferred means of communication and stick to traditional methods to share official matters.

Which decision do you think the President will assume?
