The Ugandan government has banned visitors from certain countries, countries such as China, Italy, Germany, France, South Korea, Spain, Iran, Norway, Malaysia, Austria, Sweden, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Belgium, San Marino and South Africa.

Jane Ruth Aceng, Uganda’s Health Minister stated that the Ugandan government has requested travellers from countries with outbreak cases not to visit Uganda to prevent the coronavirus from spreading in the country.

Uganda citizens who are in these infected countries are not excluded from the ban.

The 2020 United Nations G277 was also postponed by the Ugandan government along with the China Summit, which was scheduled to hold in Kampala, the country’s capital in April, but the coronavirus outbreak has caused its postponement.
