Supporters of Nigeria’s Super Falcons in Yenagoa say the senior women national team made a lot of gains at the just-concluded Four Nation’s Invitation Tournament held in the United States of America where the team failed to secure a three-point victory.

The football enthusiasts who spoke to reporters also want Coach Randy Waldrum to scout for more young players across the world to strengthen the depth of the team.

The recently concluded Four Nation’s Women Competition, tagged Summer series featured Nigeria, Jamaica, Portugal, and the host, the United States of America.

Nigeria Super Falcons loss one-nil to Jamaica, had a three-three all draw against Portugal before the team rounded off her campaign with a two-nil loss to 2019 World Cup champions, the USA on Thursday.

During the seven-day tournament, Nicole Payne, Salome Zogg, Roosa Ariyo, and others made their Super Falcons debut under Coach Waldrum but invitations of younger players to strengthen the team was also a subject of discourse.

The Super Falcons will now shift their attention to the Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifiers’ crucial game against Ghana in October.
