Two female teenagers were allegedly tortured, raped and captured on video by five men in Ondo state.
The suspects have been identified as Fadairo Wahab, Abiodun Ayodele, Bode Akinsiku, Adedayo Adebayo and Olabanji Femi who are resident in the Odo side area of Ondo state where the crime occurred.
One of the men was said to have lured four girls to the men’s home as he claimed that it was an invitation to his daughter’s birthday. On getting there, it was discovered to be a hoax, and two of the girls were able to escape.
The other two were stripped naked, raped and the whole act was captured on video. They were held hostage by the men who threatened to parade them on the street naked. According to accounts from the girls, they were eventually released after crying and pleading with the men.
The video of the crime was posted on Facebook by one of the suspects.
The men were arrested by the Ondo State Police Command following a report by the brother of one of the victims. The Public Relations Officer of the state command, Mr Femi Joseph has described the assault as barbaric and has vowed to ensure that the suspects face the full wrath of the law.
