Since the unprecedented suspension of the former US President, Donald Trump; Twitter Inc has been more active when it comes to controlling misinformation on the app.

The latest culprit is Mike Lindell, the CEO of My Pillow, who Twitter claims violated the policies of the app repeatedly on election misinformation.

Lindell, a devout supporter of Donald Trump, reportedly financed protests movements in a bid to overturn the results of the recently concluded election in Donald Trump’s favour, an allegation which he denies.

Twitter released the information of his suspension via a press statement.

This will make Lindell another noteworthy addition to Twitter’s growing list of suspendees from the favourite go-to for major world leaders. Four days away, the account of Iran’s top leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was permanently banned for violating the company’s abusive behaviour policy.

Twitter described the account as ‘fake’ after a post that threatened revenge on the former U.S President, Trump.
