Twitter chose Ghana as its Regional Headquaters!

Twitter founder and CEO, Jack Dorsey has publicly announced that going forward the social media platform will no longer accept political advocacy or advertising of any kind on its platform.

His reason is that the platforms have a unique ability to deliver very targeted and customizable messages and he also believes that political messages should earn reach when people decide to follow and this decision should not be compromised by money.

The specifics about this policy will be published by Nov. 15 and consequently will go into effect by Nov. 22. Facebook, on the other hand, has disclosed plans not make any attempt to interfere with what people decide to advertise as that will be infringing on their right to speech.

The case study being Zuckerberg allowing an Ad of Trump’s re-election to run whether fake or not to which he replied that Facebook wasn’t built to censor individual, political ads or even the news. He also made reference to other big platforms such as Youtube and Google who also run such ads.

This comes after Dorsey disclosed that there are huge gaps and flaws in Zuckerberg’s free speech movement and that there is a decent amount of revisionist history in his speech.

‘There’s some amount of revisionist history in all his storytelling. It takes away from the authenticity and the genuineness of what we’re trying to do.’
