Trump is not taking the Social Media Ban too well...

The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, is under fire as he refers to the group of protesters protesting the unfair murder of George Floyd as “THUGS”.

The protesters were stationed in front of the Minneapolis police department’s third precinct station late last night, Thursday, May 28.

In response to the protest as it went viral on social media, Donald Trump posted on his Twitter page his opinion of the protest, referring to the protesters as “THUGS”.

This caused quite an uproar among the people especially as Trump threatened to send the military to end the protest.

Twitter flags Trump’s comments and tagged it as a violation of Twitter rules about “glorifying violence.”

The tweet was not taken down because Twitter believed that the tweet should remain accessible for the public interest. This is the second tweet the social media giant has flagged from the President this week.

The mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, has spoken out about the protest as it turned violent.

Protesters have set buildings on fire and police have retaliated by throwing tear gas at the protesters.

Following the protest in the state, the four police officers involved in the death of George Floyd have been fired.
